Why do I need to pay a $1,000 non-refundable payment?

We have a lot of people who are interested in sometimes the same site and in order to lock in the site, you will need to pay a $1,000 non-refundable payment. This $1,000 will be taken off the purchase price and will be deducted from the sale price.
